BlackBerry Torch 9800 Specs and Review:


 BlackBerry model at a press event held in New York which will be officially called as the blackberryTorch 9800. This is the same model which was previously called BlackBerry 9800 which is apparently RIM’s first mobile that comes with a slide-out and touch-control screen in one device. The BlackBerry Torch 9800 is especially designed  people and young professionals who had always been a fan of BlackBerry units.

RIM hopes to stop customers from shifting to iPhones and Android Phones with its released of the BlackBerry Torch 9800. BlackBerry has been the industry’s leader when it comes to smartphones but upon the release of the iPhone and Android phones it can’t be denied that it has brought some effect to BlackBerry’s position.
This new smartphone comes with new and exciting features such as capacitive touchscreen, the all-new BlackBerry 6 OS which includes a “Universal Search” feature, a powerful Webkit Browser for a fast and more improved performance,BlackBerry Messenger which gives a real-time conversation experience and long lasting battery to keep you going. TheBlackBerry Torch 9800 also comes with a simple yet stylish sleek design with a touch-sensitive trackpad located on the face of the device.

Aside from these key features and its stylish design the BlackBerry Torch also comes fully loaded with the following specs:

  • 512 MB flash memory and 4GB onboard memory
  • Built-in GPS and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • 3G network support
  • Full QWERTY keyboard and optical track pad
It has been a good thing that Torch 9800 comes with a slide-out keyboard which is a popular feature for those business people who rely a lot to e-mails and text messages. The Torch 9800 seems to be a more powerful handset because aside from its slide-out keyboard, it also comes with a touchscreen so we can say that users can have the best of both worlds.
The all-new BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be exclusively available on starting August 12 and will be priced at $199 with a 2-year service contract with AT&T.
